About QBE Insurance
QBE is a specialist business insurer and reinsurer. We are big enough to make a difference, small enough to be fleet of foot. We may not be the best known, but a large part of the modern world depends on our cover. We have customers as varied as bus and coach fleet operators and major international infrastructure consortiums. For them, we’re the buffer between the best-laid plans and uncertain reality.
Everyone has personal and professional ambitions and goals. Our purpose is to give people the confidence to achieve them, by helping them manage the risks associated with those ambitions, so they can focus on the outcome they want, rather than what could go wrong. We work alongside our customers to understand their ambitions and enable them to achieve their broader goals.
Our vision is to be the insurer that builds the strongest partnerships with customers. Strong partnerships are based on respect, understanding, listening and the ability to add value. We know that if these relationships are strong, we will help customers achieve their ambitions and we will also achieve ours. Having the strongest partnerships applies to all our customers – intermediaries, brokers, agents, direct customers and importantly, our QBE colleagues and peers.
We create an inclusive and innovative workplace for our people where development is part of our DNA and career ambitions are realised. Our global flexible working policy and parental leave transition programs are designed to help our employees balance their professional and personal lives.
As QBE we believe it is important to give back to the communities in which we operate. The QBE Foundation is our major global corporate responsibility initiative to support charities that help people overcome disadvantage, strengthen their abilities, and live more independently, successfully and productively.
QBE has six values that drive the day-to-day behaviour of our people:
• Open Minded
• Quality Approach
• Business Acumen
• Excellent Outcomes
ONE QBE, and the six values it represents, is the common thread that makes us ONE team of people whenever and wherever we do business in the world.
