Training & Profiles

Bridging the Gap between University and Employment

FDM’s graduate career programme includes a period of in-house training within one of the companies award-winning academies (based in London, Brighton and Manchester). This training will consist of technical and professional development, teaching you the practical skills you need to succeed in your role and how to apply them in a professional environment. This skills development will last 10-16 weeks and prepare you for the next stage of the programme, where you will become an FDM IT Consultant representing FDM on client sites.

A Career as an FDM IT Consultant

On completion of training, candidates will be employed by FDM as IT Consultants, responsible for representing the organisation on client sites in their specialist area, and supporting clients for a minimum of two years. During this time, FDM Consultants will gain priceless experience and continue to learn and progress.

Joining FDM

Successful candidates will usually possess an IT or numerical science degree, although applicants with equivalent qualifications and/or technical experience will be considered.

Most importantly, FDM is seeking graduates who are able to demonstrate the drive and potential to build successful careers in IT.

Other essential criteria include:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An analytical approach and problem solving abilities
  • A willingness to learn and enthusiastic attitude
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments
  • Able to commit for the full 2-year programme and be geographically flexible
