If you've ever had nightmares about spending years at university only to find a career where you're forever in your boss's shadow, waiting for instructions, and a pay rise, making tea rather than decisions, then have no fear, you'll be safe with us.
Our unusual approach
At Enterprise we combine the opportunities of a huge, internationally successful car rental company, with a more personal, entrepreneurial approach that lets individuals stand out. That's because we're divided up into hundreds of smaller businesses (or branches), which you'll form part of and learn how to run yourself. So, in as little as two years you could be running your own business, recruiting your own teams, and receiving your share of the profits.
Our background
Enterprise started in the US in 1957 and we now have a turnover of $10.1 billion, employing more than 66,000 with over 3,400 in the U.K and over 190 in Ireland. And with more than 7,000 locations, we can offer you a great deal of freedom as to where you'd like to start your career, since you no longer have to move to a large city to take part in an exciting graduate training scheme.
All about you
Join us and you can take advantage of enormous earning potential, a truly entrepreneurial environment, and a commitment to having fun that few, if any, other companies offer. Basically, if you have the potential to be a good leader, with strong negotiation skills and a high degree of self-motivation, not to mention a great personality, then you'll almost certainly love working here. And this isn't just our opinion - Fortune magazine has included us in their list of the ‘100 Best companies to work for'.

Name: Sarah
Role: Strategic Account Manager
At university I had awful visions of being stuck in an office on my own, looking at numbers all day with no promotional opportunities in sight, being good but not getting to the next level because of some old boys' network or because I was female. But then I found Enterprise.
Part of the fun here is the fact that things move along very quickly. The formal management training programme took me as far as Assistant Manager, but the training and development continues as long as you want it to. I've just been promoted to Area Manager, which I'm delighted by, and I love my new role. Not to mention the money, car and phone.
People are very supportive, and part of this probably comes from the fact that the more people I promote, the more I'll be promoted myself, so a victory for my team is one for me too. I think this is why we get on so well and socialise so much - in fact just last weekend I took my team out to see the England game, which was really good fun.
All the friendliness doesn't make it soft though. After all, I'm fundamentally running a business within the service industry, and that takes a lot of commitment. There's healthy competition as we're all very results-driven and want to do well. I like the freedom too - nothing's rigid here. If you've got a sound idea and it's financially and operationally viable, then they're likely to go for it. Enterprise know that if they look after us, we'll look after our customers and the rest will come.
