The Company

What are we about?

We provide research-based consultancy to help marketers successfully manage their brands, optimize the return on their media and communications investments, and create value for their businesses. We’ve helped our clients build strong brands and services through research based consultancy and today, we continue to push the boundaries of marketing research and brand consulting.

Our success as a business depends on our ability to attract, develop, motivate and retain fantastic people, who challenge and push the boundaries to ensure we remain the best at what we do. This is why in the UK we aim to recruit over 50 of the best graduates every year. Millward Brown can give you a career which stretches and challenges you, in an environment where people are encouraged to develop their own individual talents. We have a special culture, which really values client focus, teamwork and risk-taking.

Company background

Millward Brown was founded in Leamington Spa in 1973 by Maurice Millward and Gordon Brown. In 1976 Maurice and Gordon set the world’s first continuous tracking study for Cadbury’s to explore the issue of ad ‘wear out’. In 1994, the company invested in a massive Research & Development for evaluating brand health, resulting in the launch of BrandDynamics in 1996. BrandDynamics proved to be so successful that WPP adopted and adapted it as BRANDZ; a massive database of brand data to be used across the WPP network, which to date has covered over 64,000 brands. The BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands ranking launches annually in partnership with the Financial Times. Today, Millward Brown continues to develop and expand its expertise by developing new solutions to measure the effects of online advertising, sponsorship and PR and offer insight into the constantly evolving marketing landscape.
