Graduates can expect more job opportunities after Britain's Ministry of Defence unveiled plans to invest £400 million to protect British soldiers from roadside bombs planted by Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan.
According to the Government, around £200 million will be spent on counter-improvised explosive device technology (C-IED).
Almost 100 more Foxhound patrol vehicles will be supplied to the British troops by the Ministry.
The light-armoured vehicle includes a V-shaped hull, which guards the troops against bombs.
Defence secretary Philip Hammond said: "Foxhound is designed, developed and built in the UK and this announcement demonstrates the Government's commitment to providing our troops with world-class protective equipment.
"The vehicle will provide our Armed Forces with a highly protected and agile vehicle and its manufacture in this country will create and sustain jobs across the UK."
