Graduates looking for a fast track to responsibility and management should look towards the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sectors.
A study carried out by skills council People 1st has shown that carers in those sectors can often allow graduates a speedy route up the career ladder.
While people under the age of 30 hold one in 10 management positions across the country, a quarter of bosses in hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism are still in their 20s.
And in even better news for graduates looking to move into management, there were around 18,000 posts advertised in the third quarter of the year from the hospitality industry.
Lesley Potter, communications director at People 1st, commented; "There's a wealth of opportunity - both at graduate and non-graduate level - within the sector for those who want to experience managing a business at an early age."
The triple bill of major international sporting events coming to Britain over the next few years (2012 Olympic Games, 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2015 Rugby World Cup) will see millions of visitors flocking to the UK, which will help keep the hospitality industry buoyant.
