Graduates looking to carve out a career in the hospitality industry will be excited to learn that the owner of Hungry Horse and Loch Fyne Restaurants has put 3,000 new jobs on the menu.
Catering to thriving demand, Greene King is looking to expand its operations. As money-conscious consumers turn away from expensive restaurants, custom at Greene King restaurants has boomed.
Its new sites, coupled with strong demand, has seen its total food sales jump 16.3% in the first six months of its financial year.
The Suffolk-based company seems keen to invest in young talent - it has created 800 apprenticeships as part of its recent expansion, and expects this figure to rise to around 2,000. For this reason among others, it is potentially an excellent place for a graduate to start.
Greene King, which currently employs 20,000 people across its managed pubs, brewing and tenanted pub division, hopes to boost its estate to 1,100 managed pubs and restaurants, up from 950 currently.
It will be creating the new roles over three years.
