Graduates keen to join the hospitality industry might be interested to know that Hilton, one of the leading hotel and leisure companies in the world, has announced plans to create 1,500 job opportunities.
As part of its ambitious expansion projects over the coming years, the giant hotel chain is set to open over 20 hotels in Britain including a new site in Lincoln and Burton on Trent.
The company is also planning to start more than 110 hotels by 2014 across Europe, which is expected to generate 8,500 new posts.
Simon Vincent, Hilton's area president, Europe, said: "While unemployment figures in Europe continue to rise, Hilton Worldwide is experiencing an exciting period of growth which will see us continue to offer a wealth of rewarding career options."
The upcoming job openings will include concierges, chefs, marketing executives, personal trainers and hotel managers.
Ben Bengougam, vice president HR, Europe stated: "We are seeking passionate people interested in hospitality careers with a range of experiences as well as transferable skills from backgrounds outside the hospitality industry. Many of our team members have experience in a broad range of sectors and we always welcome this diversity."
