Jobs for technology graduates could be on the cards at a hi-tech Belfast company that started off at Queen's University.
Andor Technology, which began as a spin-off from the university in 1989, produces cutting edge digital cameras to be used by research scientists and is investing £18 million to create 166 jobs.
Invest NI is offering £1.5 million towards the scheme and is holding talks with the firm about potential funding for training, research and development activities.
The Andor Learning and Development Academy will be established as part of the project, with backing from the Department for Employment and Learning, which will give £160,000 to help the company create targeted training courses and materials.
Andor employs more than 230 people in Northern Ireland and 321 worldwide.
