Young graduates looking forward to a lucrative career in the hospitality industry have reason to celebrate as a leading hotel chain is planning to roll out 710 new jobs under a £223 million expansion drive.
Over the next two years, Travelodge will establish 26 new hotels in London.
A total of 10 will start functioning before next summer's Olympics, for which the budget hotel chain plans to hire 280 new staff.
"We are passionate about developing our people and I'm proud to say that 75% of all our management appointments are filled internally," said Michelle Luxford, Travelodge's human resources director.
The chain is all set to initiate a big jobs boost in the South East as well, with plans for an 88-bedroom hotel in Basingstoke having been given the go-ahead. The facility will also create new chef jobs for its restaurant wing.
