Graduates are being encouraged back into the mental healthcare profession through a number of new opportunities.
Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust has offered 22 graduates roles in a bid to help university leavers get a foot on the career ladder.
It is also aiming to strengthen and enhance the mental health profession.
Graduates may be encouraged to take up the a career in the sector as the average salary for psychotherapists and psychiatrists is £43,000 and £53,000 respectively.
The trust's project leader Michael Benson said: "We've seen a gap in the market and provided a bridge that is mutually beneficial for both sides. The graduates get an opportunity to work in a profession related to their degree and we get strong candidates."
