A science learning centre has created four graduate positions as part of an initiative to boost apprenticeship opportunities across York.
Myscience.co.Limited, based at the University of York, has created four apprenticeship opportunities in business administration, marketing, laboratory science and libraries, archives and information services.
The move is part of the York Apprenticeship Challenge, which aims to create 100 apprenticeship opportunities in 100 days.
The campaign was launched by The Press, in conjunction with City of York Council and the National Apprenticeship Service.
So far 65 apprenticeship opportunities have been pledged by businesses in York since June 15.
Myscience.co Limited was established in 2005 by the White Rose University Consortium, which comprises the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam and York.
