Metro Bank has announced plans to create jobs, including opportunities for graduates, through the launch of new branches across the UK.
The High Street bank is hoping to boost its number of employees to 600 by the end of 2012.
As part of the expansion strategy, the bank is planning to open new branches in areas including Uxbridge and Hounslow, west London, and High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
Earlier, Metro revealed plans to raise £45 million in fresh capital to support its expansion targets.
Launched in 2010, the bank aims to revolutionise the British banking experience by offering good customer service, a simple range of products and retail opening hours. Its first branch was opened in Holborn in London.
Currently, Metro has eight branches and the next four are planned for Uxbridge, Hounslow, Ealing and High Wycombe.
