Pub firm Spirit has designed a new training programme for graduates to help them develop specialist skills.
This comes after the company carried out a successful trial in its city and urban pubs.
Through the scheme, Spirit is hoping to prepare at least 20 graduates for managerial roles over the next 18 months.
It aims to boost business by helping graduates become general managers within a short period of time.
As part of the programme, trainees will work across the firm's important brands such as Chef and Brewer, Taylor Walker and Fayre and Square.
Sam Walsh, Spirit's human resource specialist, said: "Spirit is leading the industry in terms of training and developing through work based learning and qualifications. In the last 12 months we have launched successful apprenticeship schemes for both our team players and team leaders through to developing a Masters degree in Multiple Retail Leadership.
"This graduate scheme is a natural evolution and supports our strategy to appoint and develop high calibre people to operate and work in our pubs."
