The number of jobs in the agri-food sector in Ireland could be boosted by booming number of graduates in the field over the coming years, a recruitment expert claims.
The Central Applications Office has seen applications to agriculture courses increase by 28% this year.
Fiona Tierney, Dalriada executive research and selection partner, said the boom could lead to more jobs being created in the sector.
Meanwhile the number of students applying to science course was up 6% year-on-year.
