Graduates looking for jobs in the financial services sector could benefit from the creation of 250 new posts at Citi.
The US firm, which hires graduates on its Fas work placement programme, is to offer the new jobs as part of its expansion in Dublin and Waterford over the next 18 months.
Most of the jobs will be created in the firm's operations, funds, technology and product development departments.
Citi, which has been operating in Ireland for 45 years, employs more than 2,200 people and has already hired 300 workers in the past year.
The new jobs are supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.
Enterprise minister Batt O'Keeffe said the jobs showed that Ireland can out-perform rival locations through talent, track record and the tax regime.
He said: "More than half the world's leading financial services firms now have operations in Ireland.
"Citi, a pioneer in the financial services sector, has made an outstanding contribution to our economy for more than four decades.
"It is a standard-bearer in Dublin's IFSC (International Financial Services Centre) and the expansion of the Waterford operation has dramatically enhanced the profile of the south-eastern region for top-level financial services investments."
