Sales and finance graduates are on the alert after Wesleyan Assurance Society announced that it is to create 90 jobs over the next couple of years.
A new sales relationship centre (SRC) is to be opened at the mutual's Birmingham head office in advance of the introduction of the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) framework by 2012.
Recruitment of new workers by Wesleyan - which provides financial services for doctors, dentists, lawyers and teachers - has already started, with officials saying that the new facility would improve its contact with customers as well as improve sales force productivity.
The SRC concept was piloted by the firm after research showed that its financial consultants were spending as much time setting up appointments as advising customers.
More than half of the posts, which include shift work patterns, are expected to be filled by the end of next year.
