A US internet security company is to create 50 new jobs in Dublin over the next two years that will suit graduates seeking roles in engineering, marketing, sales, administration and customer service.
Webroot, which was founded in 1997 and is based in Boulder, Colorado, has decided to create an international headquarters in Ballsbridge and is on the lookout for graduates who are up to the grade.
The company's products protect corporate networks from online and internal threats, and allow consumers to download music, store digital files, bank, shop and search safely.
Batt O'Keeffe, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, said Ireland is outperforming other countries in attracting high-growth international firms.
He said: "Clearly our business environment and graduate skills set are important factors in drawing international players to locate in Ireland. IDA Ireland worked closely with Webroot to secure the win for Ireland, and provide 50 high-quality jobs over the next two years."
Dick Williams, Webroot's chief executive, said the company plans to grow aggressively by investing in research and development, and acquisitions.
He added: "Establishing an international headquarters in Ireland will give us access to top talent and enable us to expand our global footprint to become the best company in the world at delivering security as a service."
