A guide hoping to simplify the graduate recruitment process for employers has been launched by the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR).
Demystifying UK Universities aims to coach recruiters in approaching graduates, giving tips on how to work with universities and career development departments to get the right candidate for the job.
The document also includes a profile of the different types of graduates companies are likely to come across.
Carl Gilleard, chief executive of the AGR, said: "Higher education in the UK can be a minefield for graduate recruiters - especially those who are new to the profession.
"With a record number of young people due to graduate from 120 universities this year it is going to be tougher than ever for employers to develop effective strategies for finding and selecting the best candidates."
