An online tool allowing business graduates to individually contact corporate recruiters has been announced by Warwick Business School (WBS).
University leavers can use WBSLive chat forums and instant messaging systems to contact employers directly, as well as viewing dedicated employer pages to check how many vacancies different companies need to fill.
These results will be specifically tailored to users' profiles, matching positions to individual qualifications and skills. The recruitment portal will also allow graduates to be interviewed online or make video presentations to their prospective employers.
One of the programme developers was WBS recruiter relationships manager Leon Richards, who said: "The current system, where employers send staff to recruitment days on campus, is somewhat antiquated in today's world.
"Spending one afternoon talking in a year is not great exposure for either the student or the business involved. We were looking for a solution that would leverage technology to allow our students to engage with potential employers in real time, and on an ongoing and global basis.
"WBSLive allows both parties access to each other 24 hours a day, 365 days a year."
