More than 100 jobs are to be created after a leading Japanese computer games company announced plans to expand its base in Ireland.
Gala - which opened its European headquarters in Dublin's Digital Hub in 2006 - said it would be taking on 103 new staff to assist with the launch of three new titles and language versions as the European online games market continues to grow.
Tanaiste Mary Coughlan said the investment was supported by the government through IDA Ireland and would cement the company's presence in Ireland.
She said: "Digital media is an exciting emerging sector and one for which Ireland is gaining a strong reputation. Gala is currently building a new worldwide gaming brand in an exciting and growing area in the games market."
Gala chief executive Hyun Hur said: "Ireland provides for us the skilled, multi-lingual workforce necessary to increase our mandate and Gala looks forward to the continued success and development of our Irish operations."
