Location: Central London and Reading

Basic salary: £18K to £23K plus commission

Earning Potential:
1st Year OTE: 50K+
2nd Year OTE: £70K+
3rd Year OTE: £100K+

The Company
My client is a Recruitment Consultancy specialising in the Finance and Banking sector. The company has grown rapidly since its formation in 2005 and now employs over 50 consultants. The company now wishes to recruit a further 5 trainee recruitment consultants as part of its on-going expansion.

Training
The training you will receive will be thorough. You will be allocated a ‘mentor’ who will be an experienced senior recruitment consultant who will be responsible for providing ‘on the job’ one-to-one tuition. You will also receive one-on-one tuition from other senior members of the recruitment team.

Commission
Recruitment consultants are paid a basic salary plus commission. This means that in their 1st year they can earn in total over £50K on a basic of about £20K. In subsequent years total earnings often exceed £100K.

The Person
To be successful as a recruitment consultant you need to be a robust individual with a strong desire to earn a lot of money. As the middleman between candidates and clients, you need exceptional communication skills and the ability to build interpersonal relationships quickly over the telephone.
You need to be bright, dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic. You will also need to be organised and analytical in your approach to your work.

The Role
Recruitment consultants have responsibility for the following functions:

• Review candidates received from advertising / referrals.
• Conduct interviews with candidates.
• Obtain job requirements from clients.
• Shortlist and present candidates to clients.
• Proactively source new clients.
• Headhunt prospective candidates.
