Location: London (Surrey Quays)
Your Role:
• Recruitment, training and management of your team of Sales Assistants
• Selling to the public, and developing contacts with potential customers
• Commercial management and operating account analysis
• Forecasting your business
• Merchandising your department and controlling stock.
• From day one you will be running your own business - one of our departments.

You:
• An active sportsperson
• A good degree in any subject (a knowledge of French is an advantage)
• Excellent leadership and motivational qualities
• Strong commercial sense and natural customer service
• Exceptional organisational skills
• Energetic, with a practical, hands-on approach

TRAINING
Just as a serious sportsperson has to train and be coached, but also needs lots of match practice to win, we believe the same is true of our staff. So our graduates don’t follow a classical "graduate training scheme" but instead receive a mix of formal training, coaching from their store manager and on the job practice. You will be given responsibility for your own department from day one, but whilst you are gaining practical experience you will also be acquiring the theoretical knowledge you need to succeed in your role.

THE NEXT STEP
At Decathlon, when you have succeeded in your role as a Department Manager you will have the opportunity to move into other store based roles, before moving onto run your own store as a Store Manager or discovering one of our other business areas.
