Salary: up to £25k basic plus commission (OTE £10-15k)

One of the executive search firms within the Palmarium Group is looking to expand its coverage within financial markets front office trading and sales. Palmarium provides several leading independent boutique headhunting firms within its group, a complete infrastructure solution as well as financial and managerial support across its offices in London, New York and Hong Kong.

Palmarium’s consultants have a wealth of experience and knowledge in their respective market areas. We are currently looking to hire Researchers for one of our brands to work alongside our senior consultants, assisting them with servicing our clients’ current demands and enabling us break in to new business areas. They will provide you with dedicated one-on-one training to help you develop your skill set on initially the candidate side, and then the client side, of the headhunting process.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Initiating and conducting initial investigations into target organisations and industry sectors, using a combination of ‘desk-based' (database, internet etc.) and telephone-based research
• Actively sourcing, profiling, approaching and meeting potential candidates and assessing their skills against the client brief
• Maintaining the company’s databases with accurate market, client and candidate information to facilitate future search and selection processes
• Compiling target lists, market maps, and organisational charts
• Developing a working knowledge of industry trends, growth opportunities and human capital related information on a national and international scale (i.e. personnel movement, salary surveys etc.)

The ideal candidate will:
• Be degree educated, or of degree calibre with relevant commercial experience
• Have very strong written and verbal communication skills
• Be an excellent team player and relationship builder
• Demonstrate outstanding time-management and organisational skills
• Have a lateral, analytical approach to your work.
• Have an interest in, or previous knowledge of, financial markets
